classic clip and some thoughts
in the spirit of the delightful letterman/o'reilly interview
here's a link to the jon stewart on crossfire from 2004
where he calls out tucker carlson for the ass that he is
look at this dweeb in a bowtie!
right now
i feel all my anger of about the 2004 election coming back to the surface
i think i was able to push it all down deep inside
(in the words of the dear BFF neil)
but it's all getting stirred up again
the fact that the story about the NSA phone tapping
was held by the NY Times until after the election
doesn't help matters
what sort of effect could that have had in 2004?
and then there's the fact that we are in iraq trying to clean up
the mess that's been made as a result of faulty intelligence
or perhaps it's due to the lack of intelligence leading this country
we're one supreme court justice away from turning back the clock
on reproductive rights and civil liberties
i like to think that i'm are fairly accepting of people and their differing opinions
but to think that there are more people in the country who believed
that george w. bush was the better choice for president
truly depresses and angers me
but a new year
means we're one year closer to another election

What's really unfortunate is that he's only ONE year into his second term. Argh.
