Pack that Ass Up

anyway, despite the ravages of the great cold of aught six
i am plugging away with packing
when i moved into my apt NYC
i put lots of stuff right from the boxes into a gigantic wardrobe
(hooray for student furniture)
so i haven't seen lots of this stuff since i unpacked it
consequently, there is a good bit of strolling down memory lane
i just found the cassette tape that maureen made the CTY-ers from 1995
that tape has made it across the country and back four times
i don't even own a cassette player
but i'll be damned if i'm getting rid of it
wait! i do have a tape player
i think i'm going to go play it now

tomorrow will be the great car hunt
i am armed with all sorts of print outs
i know what civics are going for on ebay
i've got carfax reports
hell, i'll even bring a lab report from my medical records
maybe i can get some sort of low hemoglobin discount

back to the packing...

I've Been Delirious Before...

hi there
i've wandered back to this corner of the internet
that's what spending your xmas vacation
at home with a cold will do to a girl
this week, i have lots of things on my to do list
1) pack up apartment for move to long island
(i'm going to work at stony brook u
good riddance NYC and the new school!)
2) buy car so i can become whole again
unfortunately, i've been sidelined with a bad cold since Monday
and i have cabin fever
i've packed a few boxes
but it always ended up with me wheezing and sweating
(a lovely image)

while i was stuffing crap into boxes
i found some old medical records
and apparently in 1988 when i was hospitalized
i had a high fever that made me delirious for a wee spell
i got a chuckle out of that

so, that's what i've been up to
