I've Been Back...

from alaska for just over a week
but i'm not inspired to write anything
i know i know
my audience is clamoring for tales of adventure!
but i just don't have it in me
i blame the heat...

Alaska, Land of Many Moose Souveniors

hi there folks
i am at an internet cafe in the lovely lil town of seward, AK
i'm on an imac
go alaska!

1 week into my habitat adventure
i've seen a moose, a bear, a sea otter
but more importantly
i've spent time working with an amazing group of people
and, i haven't sustained any permanent injuries on the build site
i've hammered nails
used power saws
climbed up onto an unfinished roof
and consumed numerous diet cokes

but now i must continue on my journey
leave a little note to bring me joy
when i return to NYC

Speed Posting

so I am on a pay computer in the hostel
and i have 2 mintues left
this shall be quick

no moose sightings yet
i did have an airport adventure
where i gave up my seat to seattle
and got a $400 voucher
the flights were ok
except for the drunk woman next to me
with the dog that wasn't in a dog bag
but her freakin' purse that didn't zip up.

and i left my cell phone charger at home
which is both a blessing and a curse
right now, curse

and now off to the hostel shower!

In Honor of The Fourth of July...

i am rosy cheeked
i got two units of packed red cells yesterday
and i have a darn healthy glow
i think i may look into more regular transfusions
hey, if anyone is O+
perhaps you can send me some?
i hear blood freezes well

i am in the midst of alaska packing
and thanks to those of you asking about donating
no more money is needed
but good thoughts are always welcomed!
especially on friday when i am on a plane for-e-ver
folks know how i love flying

and apparently you will be able to follow my alaskan adventures
since bk has me writing an article for the rider alumni magazine
i guess i'd better pay attention whilst on this trip...
