What do you say?

i'm sitting in front of the tv
watching CNN's coverage of the Virginia Tech tragedy
i really don't have the words right now
i don't know anyone at VT
but that doesn't matter
if it could happen there
it could have happened at any college campus
or any shopping mall, amusement park, or subway car
i'm not going to live my life frightened to go about my way
but it's just so damn sad
how can you even begin to explain it?
the young man, ryan clark, a resident assistant
who tried to help his resident who
apparently was having a fight with the gunman
was shot in cold blood

but hooray for the 2nd amendment
b/c according to president bush's press secretary
the president was horrified, but glad that we can bear arms
i believe the huffington post says it really well
god help us all
